EIDETIC MEMORY ▎

Also known as photographic memory or total recall, does what it says on the tin! Lavi possesses eidetic memory and with it he's capable of recalling every miniscule detail of anything he's ever seen once without ever forgetting it. It's an invaluable skill as Bookman's successor.

COMBAT ▎

Having traveled with Bookman from an early age, he's undertaken many dangerous journeys and has had to learn how to defend himself. He's well trained in martial arts and his survival skills are top notch. He was even able to stand up to a level Four Akuma practically barehanded. Somewhat. He's also got some medicinal skills, all part of his combat training.



INNOCENCE ▎

As an Exorcist, Lavi has an equipment-type Innocence in the form of a hammer that can shrink and grow at will. It's known as Iron Hammer, but Lavi more affectionately calls it "Big Hammer, Little Hammer" due to its shape changing properties. The weight changes don't affect Lavi even if it grows to the size of a house as he's the compatible wielder of the Innocence. It's also able to extend its handle, making it an interesting way of transportation even though it can only move in the direction it's pointed at.

However, brute force isn't the hammer's only purpose. Another is the elemental seals that can be summoned as seen here. By hitting one of these seals with his hammer, he can perform different techniques that control the elements. As shown, not all of the seals are unlocked (indicated by the question mark) so there are some he has yet to learn, there's also some that are shown but have yet to be used or maybe even learned also. The ones that Lavi has been shown to use are:

FIRE SEAL 火 With the Fire Seal, Lavi can use the Hellfire and Ash technique. An attack that summons forth large flames that form a gigantic snake to entrap and burn anything it catches. Lavi can freely control the heat of the flames, making them as harmful or harmless as he desires.

HEAVEN SEAL 天 Enables Violent Thunder, Whirling Skies which summons forth a lightning storm or strike.

WOOD SEAL 木 With the Wood Seal Lavi can control the natural elements around him. It has no offensive powers, but he's used it before to manipulate the wind, both to blow clouds away (Spinning Dist of Heaven and Earth) and create a sphere of wind.

COMBINED SEAL » Lavi has also been shown able to combine seals. He's combined the Fire and Heaven Seals to create Terrible Lightning of Heaven, an attack that summons a large snake of fire and iron.

EXSILIUM ▎

From the canonpoint Lavi's from, his Iron Hammer is actually broken and being repaired and thus wasn't on him upon arrival. As such he re-obtained it from the Initiative armory in its later repaired form as his chosen weapon. It will still be capable of everything it was before, but as a result of the sentient thingamabob from the Initiative, it's natural progress has been halted (leaving no chance for it to become a crystal-type) and no new seals can be learned.

It will evolve instead to become more intuitive, responding to thoughts so that spoken words become unnecessary to command the hammer. Part of it not further naturally evolving is also part of this, as Bookman told Lavi they would leave the Black Order the moment his Innocence would start evolving because that meant getting more involved than they had to as Bookmen. This was cause for distress for Lavi, so it'll basically be responding to Lavi's subconscious wishes. It will also harden the more he uses it, eventually making it nigh impossible to break.
